Northaven Resort

Founded in 1994, Northaven Resort has spent more than thirty years as the Midwests premier clothing-optional, adult-only, couples RV resort, tucked into nearly 50 acres of rolling hills in Michigans famous Irish Hills, an area also home to the Michigan International Speedway. The grounds are laced with scenic ponds and paved paths, and the heart of the resort centers on a pristine outdoor pool, the Sexy Sundries General Store, and the Hotel California Lounge, a 3,400-square-foot gathering space with eight flatscreens, a full club lighting and sound system, a 24-foot bar, a huge dance floor, pool table, shuffleboard, dart board, pinball, video games, and free Wi-Fi. Fitness-minded guests can keep up their routine at Buckles Barbells Gym or on the resorts two volleyball courts, two pickleball courts, and over a mile of walking paths. Northaven runs on a weekly rhythm of themed weekends, from 70s and pirate parties to Mardi Gras, luaus, and a Medieval-themed newbie weekend, with evenings built around bonfires, karaoke, dancing, and socializing in the lounge. Accommodations range from RV sites with full hookups to rental cabins/units and tent sites, and the resort also sells lots for those who want a permanent home base. Guest safety and privacy are treated as first priorities: a valid state or federal photo ID is required of everyone entering the property. First-time couples are encouraged to call ahead and book a free guided tour before committing to a stay. Reservations are handled exclusively by phone rather than email, since staff use the call to walk every guest through the resorts privacy and safety policies.
