BYOB vs Licensed Bars
Of 206 clubs with verified bar policies, 63% operate BYOB (129 venues) while 59 hold liquor licenses. The split is largely regulatory: in most US jurisdictions, a venue permitting on-premise sexual activity cannot hold a liquor license, so clubs let guests bring their own alcohol and provide mixers, ice, and setups instead. Licensed bars are far more common among European venues and US clubs where play happens off-site.

Methodology
Statistics are computed directly from Find Lifestyle Clubs' venue database — 444individually tracked lifestyle venues across four countries. Records are maintained by an editorial verification pipeline that reads each club's own website, pricing pages, and public records. Percentages are always calculated against the subset of clubs with verified data for that field (sample sizes stated inline), never against the full directory.
