The Center for Sex Positive Culture is Seattle's longest-running sex-positive organisation — a volunteer-run 501(c)(7) nonprofit founded in 1999 that has registered more than 10,000 members over its quarter-century history. Originally known as The Wet Spot, CSPC lost its permanent Interbay building in 2017 and nearly folded, but a new generation of leadership rebuilt operations at Gallery Erato in Pioneer Square (309 1st Ave S), where the club now hosts a rotating calendar of themed parties, workshops, and discussion groups covering BDSM, swinging, polyamory, and kink across all orientations and relationship styles. Events run on a regular monthly rotation: Fresh Meet for newcomers looking to connect, Myself! for exhibitionism and voyeurism, The Grind as a goth-industrial dance-plus-dungeon night, Sense & Sensuality for guided sensory exploration, and LaQueer — a quarterly party by and for the LGBTQIA+ community. Every event requires a membership ($10/month or $100/year) and advance online ticket purchase ($25–45 sliding scale; no door sales, no refunds). New members must complete an orientation session before their first party. All play areas are open — there are no private rooms — and trained volunteer Monitors and Event Coordinators are on the floor at every gathering. CSPC's non-discrimination agreement is among the most explicit in the lifestyle world: all genders, orientations, play styles, relationship structures, races, religions, abilities, and body types are welcomed, and biased remarks of any kind result in immediate removal. The venue is wheelchair-accessible on the main floor (basement is stairs-only), bathrooms are gender-neutral, and sliding-scale pricing keeps events within reach. Its educational sister organisation, Pan-Eros Foundation, produces the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival out of the same Gallery Erato space.
