Splash Takeovers

Splash Takeovers is a traveling, couples-only lifestyle convention brand based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, operating as Splash Takeovers Florida LLC. Rather than running a fixed clubhouse, it produces weekend-long hotel takeovers in three cities, each under its own banner: CouplesXcape in Fort Lauderdale — the brand's original September flagship — EROTICON in Atlanta, and Xcapades in the Houston area. The brand is owned by Richard and Danielle, a couple with more than twenty years of lifestyle-event experience who ran an on-premise weekend club and bed-and-breakfast for over a decade before acquiring Splash Takeovers, and event listings report attendance consistently topping 1,000 guests. Each event is a complete buyout of a four-star convention hotel: every room is purchased, only registered guests are allowed on property, and the hotel's name is disclosed only after a paid reservation. Days center on clothing-optional pool parties with DJs, games, and giveaways — the pool and convention areas are the only clothing-optional zones — while nights shift to themed dance parties in the Studio 69 Ballroom, fantasy-themed playrooms furnished through a partnership with Liberator, a dedicated dungeon for kink and BDSM play, and late-night hospitality suites. Seminars, meet-and-greets, and an adult vendor marketplace run throughout the weekend, and the host hotels are full-service properties with on-site restaurants and licensed bars; outside drinks are not permitted in public areas. Events run Thursday through Sunday, with arrival from 1:30 pm Thursday and checkout at 11 am Sunday. Packages are priced per couple and bundle the room with admission to everything; at the September 2025 Fort Lauderdale event, three-night packages ranged from $1,050 for a standard queen room to $2,200 for a one-bedroom king suite, with extra nights at $195 and payment plans available. Day passes, also priced per couple, go on sale 30 days before each event, and nothing is sold at the door. The optional Deep Divers premium membership ($149.99 for one year) adds online community access but not event admission.
