Mitch's Place

Mitch's Place is a long-running on-premises house party tucked into a residential pocket of Jacksonville's Southside, identified only by its 32207 zip code until a caller books in. It's run personally by its owner, Mitch, who fields every inquiry himself by phone between 8am and 8pm. The venue occupies a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home converted for the lifestyle: a dedicated video room, a bar room, indoor lounge and sitting areas, and a dance floor with a stripper pole set the tone indoors, while an outdoor covered patio with a gas fire pit and a 102-degree enclosed hot tub extend the party outside. On the Fourth of July the party even doubles as a fireworks-viewing spot, visible right from the property. Parties run weekly on Saturdays from 9pm to 2am, with occasional extended hours for holidays. Attendance is restricted to couples and single females 21 and over — the site does not advertise open admission for single men — and new couples and singles are required to call ahead before their first visit, since the address itself is only shared over the phone. The party is BYOB, with a bartender on-site providing cups, ice, mixers, and snacks; towels are supplied for the hot tub, and no drugs are permitted.
