Illuminaughty Austin is the Texas capital's chapter of Illuminaughty, a multi-city lifestyle event brand that hosted its first private Austin party in 2024. Rather than operating a fixed clubhouse, the chapter runs invitation-only cocktail mixers and play parties for a curated community of couples, single women, non-binary members, and a limited number of vetted single men, generally in their 20s to 40s. Membership is free but application-based: prospective members submit photos and a bio for staff review, and approval is required before anyone can purchase tickets or receive event invitations. Events take over rented private residences around the Austin area rather than a single dedicated venue — past parties have used a multi-play-room house in the heart of Austin and a six-bedroom, three-story home in Central East Austin, each redressed with theme-specific music, lighting, and decor. Every party includes multiple designated play spaces, massage tables, and a coat storage area, with private security checking IDs and monitoring the event. Parties are BYOB, with mixers, champagne flutes, cups, and non-alcoholic drinks supplied by the organizers. Austin parties typically run Saturday nights from 8pm to 2am, with a fixed arrival window (usually 8:00–9:30pm) after which doors close for a mandatory opening talk on rules and consent; latecomers are not admitted without prior arrangement. Dress codes are theme-specific and enforced (examples include masquerade formalwear and 1960s Summer of Love attire). For privacy and security, the venue address is not published in advance — it is emailed only to confirmed ticket holders on the morning of the event. Ticket refunds have historically been offered up to 5 days before an event, minus a non-refundable credit-card processing fee of about 5%.
