Club Iniquity bills itself as "The Great Lake's Premier Swinger's Club," though it isn't a fixed venue in the traditional sense — it's a Michigan-based lifestyle community that takes over an entire lakefront resort in Houghton Lake for two-day "Complete Hotel Takeover" parties several times a year. Founded in 2017 as an alternative to the long drive downstate, the club has grown from a local meetup into what it calls one of the most respected lifestyle communities in the Midwest, pulling guests from Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and beyond. Each takeover includes beachside rooms, a clothing-optional pool and hot tub area, and a full slate of themed playrooms — recent events have featured a Group Fantasy Playroom, a Kink Fantasy Playroom, and "Steve's Den of Iniquity," a dedicated BDSM space. Weekends follow a set rhythm: a Friday welcome reception and potluck family feast, an orientation-style welcome presentation from hosts Jeff and Jenn, and a clothing-optional pool party running late into the night. Saturdays bring "Exploring the Lifestyle" discussion sessions (on topics like communication, consent, rope safety, and the emotional side of non-monogamy), a group dinner at the hotel restaurant, a themed room-decorating contest and room crawl, and a dance party with DJ Sexy Jeff running to midnight. Packages are all-inclusive — accommodations, party admission, workshops, breakfast and late-night snacks are bundled into one price, with no add-on fees. The club markets itself as drama-free and judgment-free, welcoming newcomers and seasoned swingers alike, with a strict "no means no" policy and rules against photography in shared party spaces. Single men are admitted only by prior approval, capped at roughly a 1:20 ratio against couples, and must hold a paid SLS (SwingLifestyle) profile at least a year old. All events are designated official SLS events, and all hotel bookings must go through the Club Iniquity website rather than the hotel directly, keeping the guest list within its vetted community.
